One of the longest running MOBAs still going strong today, League of Legends (the more financially viable 'lol' from common PC vernacular) is quite the machine when it comes to turning over profit.

Whilst its closest cultural competitor, DotA 2, 'only' makes $642k a day (based on $18 million a month, divided by 28), it's genuinely staggering to note that LoL can do these monthly figures in just five days.

Back in 2016 it was totted up that LoL brings in 1.62 billion in microtransactions alone (skins, characters and XP boosts etc.), which fans quickly crunched the numbers on and realised that across the ENTIRE fanbase, the average player spends an additional $23.
