4. Creator Ed Boon Voices Scorpion - Mortal Kombat
It's not much of a secret that Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon voices Scorpion in the video game series, though more surprising is the fact that when Hollywood came a-knocking, they actually agreed to let Boon reprise the role rather than recast.
Given Hollywood's tendency for wanting to redo everything in its own image - especially where video game movies are concerned - it's pretty neat that Boon was allowed to play the part in both Mortal Kombat movies to date.
As an added bonus, Boon had an actual, physical cameo in the more recent Mortal Kombat: Legacy TV series, briefly playing a movie producer named "Ed Goodman."
Boon has passed the role off to other actors in most recent Mortal Kombat games, though, so no word on whether we might get another sneaky cameo from him in the upcoming movie reboot. Fingers crossed.
