The Amazing Spider-Man PS Move Trailer

Put your PS Move controllers to good use and pretend you're the wallcrawler.

While many may be quick to call The Amazing Spider-Man Game an opportunity to cash in on the upcoming big screen blockbuster, it appears that jumping to those conclusions might be a little bit hasty. Spidey will have a combat system inspired by the success of Rocksteady's Batman series, a newly implemented navigation system known as web rush, and the inclusion of PlayStation Move capability. Beenox has released a brand new video in order to help provide a little more context as to what players will be able to accomplish with motion controls. http://youtu.be/1ViTzGJ_MFw While it seems that the motion controls may be limited to simply moving Spidey's head around the environment, we can all hope that there's more depth to the controls than it appears. Implementing some form of actual web-slinging would be ideal, and including advanced Move functionality during combat would be a great way to promote immersion. Hopefully, Beenox will be able to implement motion control functionality in an effective way that refrains from feeling like a gimmick. All I'll say is that if they decide to design replica webshooters that allow you to place the Move controller inside, I'll be on that faster than Peter Parker on Mary Jane. Count on it.
