Delving into the formation of the Assassins themselves is of course, the crux of Origins' name and premise.
Eagle-eyed fans have spotted that the eagle skull around Baek's neck looks just like the Assassin's Brotherhood logo - lending perfect weight to the notion that Baek himself is instrumental in being one of the first assassins. Though... if he's already moving, stabbing and slinking around with such incredible precision, who taught him how to kill so proficiently?
It goes without saying that delving into both the assassin and templar ideologies somewhat mirrors the likes of the Democrats and Republicans, Labour and Tories (in the US and UK, respectively), and it'll be a perfect excuse for Ubisoft's writers to really sink their teeth into some timelessly relevant socio-political subject matter.
