Arkham Asylum may have just been another night on the job, but a lot of crazy, life-affecting stuff went down throughout City. Not only did the World's Greatest Detective lose his archenemy (the two of them having established a strange connection as depicted in Arkham Origins), but also one of his most romantically-involved lovers; Talia. As Barbara tells Tim Drake in the beginning of Harley Quinn's Revenge, Bruce hasn't been the same since that night. The narration of the trailer is strange in that it's the reading of Thomas Wayne's will; strange as in why would Bruce be remembering something so long ago? Alongside that, you can clearly see a scene of Bruce (without uniform) just staring off into the distance with a blank look on his face while the chaos of gang fights continues to blast in the distance. Even a hero as distant and paranoid as Batman holds bonds, whether they be good (Talia) or bad (Joker). The shattering of both within a small time frame will take a lot longer than just a year to heal.
