The world is still awaiting an official release date for All Elite Wrestling's maiden console game voyage, despite a recent Amazon UK leak listing 31 December 2022 as a placeholder, but it sounds like official details could be coming next month.

This is per Fightful Select, who report that AEW, developer Yuke's, and publisher THQ Nordic plan on showing more of AEW: Fight Forever in Japan this September.

Fightful's report also contains a bunch of new information on the game itself. The cover, apparently, was designed by THQ Nordic, not AEW. People inside the promotion didn't know which wrestlers would be featured until the day it leaked, including the performers in question.

Said design features Chris Jericho, Jade Cargill, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, CM Punk, and Britt Baker:-

Fightful note that as is typical of WWE's video games, Fight Forever will likely feature a slightly outdated roster. A number of wrestlers who joined AEW early in 2022 have been informed there's a chance they won't make the cut for inclusion.

The game's story mode, meanwhile, is set to be unlike anything else in other wrestler games. It has been described as "much different" to other titles, with Yuke's now kicking development into high gear, adding new things and tweaking others as the process continues.
