How many Call of Duty games have there been by now? I used to be an avid fan, and I played from CoD 2 right up to Modern Warfare 2 with a smile on my face. In fact, when the first Modern Warfare first came out, I was as addicted to its multiplayer mode as anyone else. But even as I played Modern Warfare 2, I felt the shadowy fingers of apathy unfurl themselves within me. This is just more of the same, I thought to myself, as I rapidly grew bored. Even online, I struggled to conjure up the interest and soon after completing the single-player campaign, the game got traded in. You might say more of the same means more awesome! Maybe youre right, but for many of us out there who yearn for something fresh, the CoD franchise has ceased to do it for us.
