Is the ICR-7 a bonafide overpowered weapon?

Arguments come from both sides. Those in favour of the OP cite the gun's damage is far too high considering it can also be hip-fired with barely any reduction in aiming, and whenever you do aim down the sights, there's zero recoil. It's resulted in "almost everybody" using the weapon, and I can attest to watching various pro players doing the same, whilst discussing its lack of faults.

On the other hand, the ICR-7 is the first assault rifle you'll unlock, explaining why "everyone" is favouring it.

There's no explaining the gun's flawless recoil, but those damage values? Well, they go hand in hand with the biggest problem Black Ops 4 is facing...
