Another thing I'm bringing across from both PUBG and H1Z1. Sometimes when you feel that first bullet hit, or find yourself face to face with another player, just hit the ground.

Holding circle/B is how you do it, but the animation/tactic nearly always catches other players off guard, letting you fire back up at them from below in the confusion.

Doubly useful from a distance if you're in a field or surrounded by shrubbery, you'll look to disappear from your opponent's perspective altogether. Being COD's gunsights take up a HUGE portion of the screen, it's very easy to go prone and completely baffle your enemy at the same time.
