Regardless, if either Road to Nowhere or The High Road are proving to be that little bit too much, hop up onto the left or right side ropes and walk along to the finish instead. I'd recommend using the D-pad to ensure Crash is walking exactly upwards, and you can even leap straight over the connecting stone structures - just make sure to re-orientate yourself before walking on, as it's very easy to slip off.
