Cyberpunk 2077: 10 Ways It Will Change RPGs Forever
10. Changing Character Classes Forever
Like many RPGs before it, Cyberpunk allows players to build their characters from scratch by choosing which attributes they'd like to start with and upgrade. Similar to what we would see in a table-top game like D&D, these attribute scores are made up of body (strength), reflex (dexterity), intelligence (knowledge), technical (hacking), and cool (critical damage and stealth).
By investing points in one of these categories, you'll be able to open up a range of sub-branches that bring with them certain perks.
In fact, CD Projekt Red have said that each attribute has around 20 to 30 perk options to choose from, making your character build quite flexible. A dedication to the path of 'cool' may allow you to move up to 30% faster while sneaking, for example, while an investment in 'body' might allow you to carry more items.
Your character will also get better in a skill by practicing it, but be mindful that this skill level can never increase above the attribute point total assigned to it. By concentrating on the eradication of a dedicated class, there's no doubt that CD Projekt Red have increased the re-playability of the title, making every RPG dev consider how classes are handled going forward.
