Cyberpunk 2077 fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer before they get their hands on the most anticipated game of the year, as developers CD Projekt Red have announced yet another delay. Being pushed 21 days, the RPG is now launching on December 10 2020.

In a lengthy post on social media, CDPR acknowledged how peculiar it is for the game to be delayed so close to launch, especially as they recently announced that the title had gone gold. A project "going gold" means it's complete and in a state where it can be printed onto discs. Sadly, in the modern age that's not where development ends.

The studio is still hard at work preparing for a "Day 0" patch that will iron out some of the bugs and issues that couldn't be sorted before going gold. This, combined with the difficulties in constructing 9 different SKUs for PC and consoles, was cited as the main reason for the delay.

Of course the news comes in the wake of controversies surrounding the release in regards to crunch and mandatory overtime at the studio, which could continue for the new three weeks of development.
