4. Why This Vinyl Matters
Though you might be thinking, "Why would a digitally-reliant society still be using vinyls?", the inclusion of this is to establish up-front that music and music fandom is a core component of Cyberpunk's presentation.
Why? Because in case you didn't know, composers Brian Mantia and Melissa Reese have been working to literally create a new genre of music just for the game.
Speaking to Altchar they mentioned wanting to explore the various frequencies our own brains can pick up, actually trying to compose something that would be as much white noise as something more contemporary like synthwave or retrowave.
E3's trailer was backed by a real song, Spoiler by Hyper, a notable electronic outfit that I'd certainly recommend, but where we go from here is anybody's guess.
Silverhand though, whoever they are, will be some of these in-game pioneers of this new genre.
