You've finally made it to the end of the game, conquered countless obstacles and defeated many a worthy foe - Gwyn can hardly be a match for you, right? Wrong. You step through the fog gate to the simple image of a husk of a fallen lord. No cut-scene, no dialogue, he just leaps at you with incredible fury - beginning his attempt at ending your life as quick as possible. Incredible atmosphere and beautiful music aside, Gwyn was an extremely ugly encounter. This guy was like a rabid animal constantly hounding you, allowing you no space to breathe. If you tried to take a few steps back to heal, he would just instantly charge you. This fight was all about timing, any misjudgement of which resulted in your pretty much guaranteed demise - for he was inhumanly fast, dangerously hard-hitting, and terrifyingly unpredictable. It was thrilling and fast-paced, tense right up to the last moment, and a fitting finale to the game.
