Dark Souls 2: 10 Reasons It's Your Ultimate Test As A Gamer

By Michael Downie /

1. Completing It Will Break You

Finishing the game is only the start of Dark Souls 2; many believe that the game STARTS when you get to NG+, yet to 100% the entire thing is a mammoth task undertaken by few. You see, to complete the game it will take several runs through every area. You will need every item, every weapon, every hex, spell and pyromancy, you will need to have beaten every single boss and their NG+ variants, spoken to and exhausted the dialogue of every single character in the game and you will need to have levelled up to maximum and completed every covenant. That's not even the hard bit. No, all of that is easy compared to what you will need to do in order to possess every item in the game. There are two rings that can only be received once you have met special conditions, even though they have no real effect other than one making your hands invisible. That's all they do, it's definitely one to show off when facing players online. So how do you get them? For the first you will need to complete the game without dying, and to get the second you will need to complete the game without resting at a single bonfire. If anyone ever tells you that Dark Souls 2 is easy, tell them to try and get those rings, as it has to be the biggest challenge in all of gaming. Imagine trying to beat any game without dying or using a single checkpoint. In the world of Dark Souls it's genuine insanity. Do you guys agree?
