A ton of Soulsian secret items are tucked away on outcrops of land or barely-reachable platforms, many of which you'll have to make a leap of faith to reach. In past games if you did so with any sense of momentum, you'd trigger a landing tuck-roll that more often than not, sent you careening over the other side and down into the abyss - but DS3 has a solution.

When sprinting and leaping, take your finger off the direction you're pushing in and your character will land steady, instead of carrying through. It's a simple fix to a seven-year problem we've had since Demon's Souls, and one that makes the entire experience that little bit more perfect.
