3. Use The Camera To Scout Corners

Exploring the intricate, death-dealing worlds that FromSoftware design is part of the fun, but there's nothing worse than being ambushed from above or around a corner when you least expect it.

To remedy that, either keep an eye out for messages on the ground as other players will warn you of potential threats, or simply spin the camera around enough to get a view on what awaits.

Enemies in these 'ambush' positions will remain static until you enter their field of view, so it's very easy to spot them, lunge past, see their attack trigger (and miss), and then get some early hits in.
