Days Gone: 10 Gameplay Details You Need To Know

5. Dynamic Weather

Days Gone not only employs a day/night cycle but it also has varying dynamic weather. The weather seen during early gamplay demos has changed from sunny and dry to cold and snowy. When it’s wet, you’ll also notice Deacon's bike slide more often than it does during a dry drive. So drive carefully because the last thing you’ll want is to do is lose control and ram your motorcycle into a tree while trying to flee a pack of Freakers on a cold winter’s eve.

The dynamically changing weather also has an impact on how you play the game. The Freakers rest during the day and are most active at night and gain strength when the weather turns cold. So plan your strategies accordingly.

Now if only we could get a calendar to accompany us in one of these post-apocalyptic survival games... watching the seasons change is great and all, but it sure would be nice if players could actually track how many days they've managed to survive.
