Dear Bethesda: 10 Things I Want To See In The Elder Scrolls: Online
8. Access To Mods
Link didn't need it anymore.
Now, giving the console community the same customization options as the PC community currently enjoys is obviously not without challenges - the three variations (XBOX One, PlayStation 4, and PC) will always differ. Furthermore, the sheer number of available mods would be a difficult task for Bethesda to suddenly moderate, because just developing The Elder Scrolls gives them plenty to have on their plate to begin with. Combine that with the number of modifications made to character models, textures, gameplay, and various other elements - it's admittedly a lot for them to handle, but it wouldn't be without reward: if some of the mods were repurposed for consoles and distributed just as easily, console consumers would have further incentive to enjoy a fresh experience. New weapons, designs, enemies, and just things to add to a game for the hell of it. Why not?
