15. Sniper Wolf

Early on in the game, one character casually mentions a "clingy woman in a cave," which is clearly a reference to Metal Gear Solid's iconic boss Sniper Wolf.

Fans of that game will remember the quasi-sexual fascination Sniper Wolf had with her targets, even waiting as long as weeks for a target to emerge in her crosshairs.

Also, her hideout was famously hidden within a cave, which Snake had to sneak through by wearing her handkerchief, in order to avoid being attacked by her fiercely loyal wolves.
