First off, Monster energy drinks are on a table in the room and, every time you consume an energy drink to increase stamina while out in the world, you'll be reminded you just drank some Monster.

Meanwhile, if you go to the toilet in the private room, the cubicle door has a poster for the AMC show "Ride with Norman Reedus" slapped over it.

Oh, and when you visit Heartman's luxurious apartment later in the game, his neon smart lighting is powered by the very real company Innr.

This is hardly the first time Kojima has included paid placements in his games: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater featured CalorieMate energy bars, while Metal Gear Solid 4 had some especially egregious ads for iPods and Sony Ericsson phones.
