Dragon Age 4: 11 Things We Learned From The Behind The Scenes Gamescom Feature

11. Arlathan, Floating Buildings, And Solas

Solas, of course, plays a huge part in this game, with how he left off in Trespasser and the way his return, and his intention to tear down the Veil to free his people and possibly destroy the world, implied to be the main story of the next game.

A new 3D model of Solas's head is featured in the video, which puts to rest any question of him being present in the game (as if anyone had any doubt), as well as a lot of concept art depicting his powerful Dread Wolf form. Having featured in the final short story in Tevinter Nights and teased in 2018's #DreadWolfRises trailer, it's clear this isn't the last we'll see of our beloved and reviled egghead.

Images of floating ruins similar to those in Trespasser are also seen, including an intriguing floating ship that brings to mind flying Aravels as described in the Deep Roads DLC by Legion of the Dead officer Renn.

This, and the epilogue describing Elves leaving en masse to join Solas's forces, clue players into the larger role Solas's "people" will play in the next game.
