DRAGON QUEST X Announced for Wii and Wii U

Square announced the continuation of the Dragon Quest series will be released next year.

One of the biggest JRPGs left is the Dragon Quest series, and fans of the saga can rejoice because Squareannounced today they are working on Dragon Quest X for both the Wii and Wii U, for release in 2012. It was also announced that the Wii U version will be better looking graphically, and the game will be an online RPG (not the same thing as an MMO). Here are some of the announced features for Dragon Quest X "The Five Awakening Races Online": Wii release will include a USB to support content post release Controller supported: Wii Remotes with Nunchucks, Classic Controllers and even USB keyboards (GameCube controller not mentioned) The Game will have a huge story, spread across five continents and five different races People can create their own characters as well as weapons and accessories, depending on job skills You can complete the game offline Nintendo is looking into 3DS compatability Here is a video of Nintendo showing off the game at a demonstration: http://youtu.be/QU2nZlF5Mjc It was not mentioned how many people will be able to play online at any given time but footage did demonstrate "groups of players fighting alongside other groups". There are still other questions to be answered such as - How will the game differ if you only play offline as apposed to playing the game online?
