Boom. Its not quite the blow that game sharing was in 2013, but backwards compatibility is a huge boost for Microsofts console and a big bragging point over Sony. Cynics will say that they can do this because the Xbox library isnt anywhere near as huge as Playstations, but the fact that it is on offer is hard to argue against. All we need to see now is how it is implemented. It could be as simple as putting in your old disks; then again you might need downloads and upgrades. Whatever it is, expect Sony to do their damndest to follow in the coming months.
