14. Metroid Prime 4 Is Actually A Thing
It only took a decade after the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for Nintendo to announce the next core entry into the franchise, as they did during their Spotlight livestream with a totally nonchalant teaser trailer that gave nothing away beyond a rather hastily-Photoshopped logo.

Yes, it's only a logo and fans still have zero idea what the game looks like or how it will pan out, but after the many ups and downs the Metroid franchise has suffered through over the years, it's simply a relief to know what Nintendo hasn't sent it out to die, and a genuine follow-up is on the way.
