E3 2018: 6 Ups & 6 Downs From EA's Conference

It's a common complaint about EA's shows that they're presented in a dry, stodgy format not by gamers or "real people", but businessmen in fancy suits instead (looking at you, EA CEO Andrew Wilson, who ironically didn't wear a suit this year).

EA smartly made the choice to appoint a somewhat hipper, more down-to-Earth host this year in the form of What's Good Games' Andrea Rene. Though Wilson did pop by occasionally to talk shop and Rene was sadly absent from most of the show's middle, it was still refreshing to have a younger, more appealing presence presenting the show, especially as her passion for games is well documented.

It's a shame the show itself wasn't more convincing, but hey, she did a good job with what she had.
