E3 2019: 10 Rumoured Video Games You Need To Know About

10. Harry Potter RPG

The leak of the Harry Potter RPG came out of nowhere in late 2018, showcasing some gameplay footage, character creation and showing off the art style of the project. It certainly looked to be ready for a demonstration, and E3 could be the perfect place to do that.

On one hand, you have to feel for the developers. They didn’t get to control the timing of the announcement or have any of the usual screenshots and press releases that keep the hype going. There was also the initial assumption that it was Rocksteady, followed by slight disappointment when it wasn’t.

Avalanche, the people behind Disney Infinity’s ToyBox, are supposedly the actual developers, and you could also make the argument no press is bad press. Thousands of us are already talking about a game that doesn’t even officially exist yet; Harry Potter’s pop culture power means the hype is never really going to fade too much.

If E3 sees a much glossier trailer, with the famous Harry Potter font and a gravitas filled voiceover from someone like Michael Gambon, it could be the most talked about reveal of them all. Anything concrete at this stage would only compound the excitement.
