EA Play Live 2021 - 6 Biggest Announcements
6. Grid Legends
For a company that once said "single-player, 25-hours-and you’re out. I think that model is finished" in regard to single-player gaming being dead, EA sure has been giving us a lot of single-player experiences. Case in point GRID Legends, a game produced by Codemasters - a company that focuses on racing games and was recently brought by EA.
GRID Legends easily could have been a multiplayer exclusive title and nobody would have been annoyed. The title is a racing game, and it's rare nowadays for those kinds of games to have anything you can do on your own.
That doesn't mean it's a single-player only experience. The game has been confirmed to have online multiplayer but the trailer we were shown focused on the single-player campaign, establishing interesting characters each of which want to be the best, all conveyed in well-performed live-action scenes.
GRID Legends looks like a fun racing game and is expected to be released at some point during 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
