EA Says BATTLEFIELD 3 Server Issues Almost Resolved

An EA spokesperson has reassured fans that Battlefield 3's PC and PlayStation 3 users should not experience any more more problems whilst playing the game online as the server issues have almost been fixed.

An EA spokesperson has reassured fans that Battlefield 3's PC and PlayStation 3 users should not experience any more more problems whilst playing the game online as the server issues have almost been fixed. For Xbox 360 users the problem still remains but EA say the situation is improving. Ever since the midnight launch last week, EA underestimated (seriously) how many customers would be logging in to play one of the year's most anticipated games online and over the weekend angry users were flooding message boards and websites/blogs letting out their disgruntlement of having connection trouble. One guy on Twitter I saw over the weekend said something to the effect of; "It's like Christmas when you have a great new toy but no batteries installed and can't play yet. My Christmas is ruined!". Speaking to Kotaku, an EA rep said;
"With such huge interest in the game, demand outstripped even our best expectations coming out of the beta We are happy to report that PS3 and PC players experienced server stability all weekend, and Xbox 360 servers are at 95 per cent and climbing, There were a number of different factors that impacted server connectivity across the platforms. Regardless of the cause or platform, our Online teams are standing by to identify the issues and addressed them as they arise. We will not rest until we're at 100 per cent. We believe that the major issues are behind us, but our Online teams will not be happy until we're at 100 per cent. We continue to work on solving for each issue."
Meanwhile Karl Magnus Troedsson, the General Manager of DICE has updated the official Battlefield 3 website with full information and details on exactly what bugs, fixes are coming and also responds to general feedback on the game.
