EA Sports UFC: 10 Fighters We Need In DLC

By Sam Heard /

4. Joe Rogan

This entry may seem to come from left-field, but with their inclusion of Bruce Lee EA Sports have proven that they are open to non-MMA fighters being featured on the game. Ever since UFC 12: Judgement Day way back in 1997, Joe Rogan has been the promotions colour commentator, delivering excellent insight, hilarious observations and expressing his love of a solid leg kick. In the many years he has called fights, Joe has proven to be an expert of all things pertaining to martial arts. The ex-host of Fear Factor isn€™t just knowledgeable about MMA though. In his youth Rogan was a Tae Kwon Do champion and owns a black belt in this discipline €“ there€™s even video evidence of him teaching MMA legend Georges St. Pierre how to perfect his turning side kick. Supplementing his obvious striking prowess is Rogan€™s high-level ground game. His black-belt in 10th Planet Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which allows him to analyse fights so effectively in his commentary duties means that Rogan wouldn€™t be outclassed on the mat by anyone in the UFC. Though clearly not a professional fighter, if EA decide to make any more fantasy MMA fighters available through DLC, Joe Rogan should be their chosen fighter. The thought of finally seeing Rogan €“ a man who would surely be an MMA fighter had he been born a decade later €“ in the Octagon is a sight that many fans would love to see.
