Another facility to have been imported from EAs numerous other excellent sports games, EA Sports UFC has implemented a speciality system to give fighters statistical advantages in certain areas. Much like how Kevin Durant is the master of the 3-pointer in NBA 2K14 or how Rooney is an engine because of his work rate in FIFA 14, UFCs specialities will closely reflect a fighters abilities in the cage. Though, as you would expect, these specialties are many and varied, we definitely had some early favourites. The Fluid speciality means a fighter can strike like water (to use Bruce Lees terminology), flowing seamlessly between strike combos and in so doing conserving valuable energy. The Chess Master speciality is for the sports great tacticians, making them more effective in implementing a game-plan. Finally, the Carved of Wood trait gives fighters an exceptional recovery time after being rocked allowing them to immediately get back in the fight.
