Elder Scrolls: 10 Best Oblivion Quests
10. Canvas The Castle
It's always great in the Elder Scrolls when players are given a quest in a game that lets them play the role of a detective. Skyrim had Blood on the Ice in Windhelm as the best example of this kind of quest, however Oblivion runs it pretty close with Canvas the Castle.
When players first enter Chorrol Castle, they will meet the Countess who tells them that one of her favourite paintings has gone missing. She has a list of suspects that the player must interrogate about the disappearance of the painting, before they have the freedom of the whole castle to navigate through and gather up clues and evidence to accuse one of the suspects.
The whole quest is a welcome change of tone and pacing from the rest of the game, and the fact that players aren't given any quest markers and are forced to gather certain pieces of evidence in a certain order adds more of a challenge to this side mission.
On top of the surprising amount of depth to the quest and its characters, there's even some hidden bonuses and rewards to unearth during players' time in Chorrol Castle.
