Who wants more Battle Royale games? Better yet, who wants more Battle Royale shoehorned into an already existing game franchise? If the answer is 'no' then your in the majority - doesn't seem like game companies are listening though.

Planetside 2 made an impression as a ridiculously ambitious competitive shooter that could hold up to 500 players on a super-scaled map. It never broke through the mainstream but still holds a die-hard following to this day.

So now the brand is going Royale, what can we expect? The same old thing except with 500 players, basically. The loyal user-base has already written this off as a bad taste cash-grab - everyone else will likely just go back to Fortnite or Black Ops 4.
