EVERY Resident Evil Game Ranked Worst To Best
26. Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps
Starting off with the lowest of the low, we have Umbrella Corps; releasing in-between the failure of Resident Evil 6 and the comeback of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Capcom needed an extra game to fill the four year gap.
Following up Resident Evil Revelations 2, which came out a year previously, the developer put out the multiplayer spin-off in June 2016. An experiment of sorts, the game put players in the shoes of corporate operatives battling each other across a range of maps.
While intended to break into the esports scene, Corps was shredded on release for its awful gameplay, unsightly bugs and terrible use of the Resident Evil license.
It ranks at the bottom of the list because unlike other weak entries in the series, this one had no effort and no care put into its development. It belongs in the same camp as Metal Gear: Survive and Fallout 76; useless cash grabs designed to take advantage of fans and make a quick buck.
The fanbase saw this disaster coming from a mile away and boycotted the title in droves. It was reported just one week after release that the game was dead on arrival, and remains unsupported to this day.
