The bombastic cult anime series Kill La Kill is full of high-voltage action, schoolyard humour and colourful supporting characters. Its distinct appeal is ideal for a video game translation, with it now finally incoming... as a battle arena fighter.

The promos have shown the visuals, settings and character powers as being pitch-perfect recreations. Yet an erratic camera and a trend of recent poor anime adaptations hold judgement in the balance.

At least the developers appear to be major fanboys themselves. Hopefully, their affection is contagious.
