Everything We Know About 2018's Most Mysterious Video Games
9. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes
Travis Touchdown's making a comeback, baby! The video game-loving otaku returns, seven years after No More Heroes 2, to take on Badman, the vengeful father of Bad Girl. Ya'know, that assassin Travis sort of, er, killed in the past.
Abducted and pulled into a cursed games console, Travis and his newfound enemy must race to discover and complete six video games scattered across the digitized landscape, with the first to do so being crowned winner. Sounds about as meta as you'd expect from the mind of Suda51, then, but the best part's yet to come.
As a means to push the fourth wall's boundaries, Grasshopper Manufacture's partnering with real-world indie developers to create some of the challenges Travis and Badman will encounter. That means including two of the finest, Yacht Club and Dennaton Games' Shovel Knight and Hotline Miami respectively, in-game as playable levels.
As for combat, expect Travis' copyright-evading beam katana to return, along with open world content like side quests, odd jobs perfect for our man Travis to earn a little cash on the side.
Travis Strikes Again marks the first time that Suda himself will be sitting in the directors' chair since No More Heroes 2, so expect one hell of a lucrative Switch title to roll around within the next 12 months.
