5. Beef Up The Companion System

While the companion system was an excellent first step for Bethesda when Fallout 3 released, the subsequent sequels have made the feature seem a bit rudimentary. New Vegas expanded on the foundations set in the third game, making giving orders and accessing inventories far more intuitive, while Fallout 4 went all in and gave each companion their own unique quests and stories.

Obviously, Bethesda probably aren't going to include any new missions or bring back the actors to add dialogue to a 10-year-old game, but they should take a page out of New Vegas' book and make managing your companions that bit more accessible.

It was frustrating in the original game to have to cycle through the same dialogue prompts over and over again to simply access their inventory, while the lack of any real tactical options meant the system as a whole felt a little basic.

Amending these issues by adding in New Vegas' companion control system would be a way to fix these problems without taking anything away from the spirit of the original effort.
