Desolate, creepy, and incredibly dangerous, the Glowing Sea isn'treally a sea, as you can see. It's here that the nuclear weapon that destroyed Boston detonated, turning the area into a yellow-tinted highly irradiated wasteland that makes the rest of the wasteland look like the Garden of Eden. Everything here is dead, and leaning aggressively away from the epicentre of the blast. Entering this area is an impressive experience. As you approach it, the slightly saturated blue skies make way for a sickly yellow mist, and it feels like you're entering the atmosphere of a hostile, unliveable planet (put that power armour on). It's not a completely dead area though, and you'll need to be wary of ghouls and deathclaws, which thrive in this noxious atmosphere. The weather in this area is spectacular too, as it's battered by regular radiation storms. At night, the sky gets a green tint, and sparkly flecks of irradiated waste float around in the air like glowflies. A real must-see on your tour of the Commonwealth, though not for the fainthearted.
