After years and years of waiting, gamers the world over can rejoice that Bethesda have finally given in and fully confirmed the existence of Fallout 4 with a 3-minute trailer. It's getting close to five years since Fallout: New Vegas hit stores, and fans of the franchise have been chomping at the bit for every morsel of news about the new game ever since, even if many of the reveals ultimately ended up being rumours and hoaxes. Still, here are the facts: the game is definitely happening, it's coming out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows and...not a lot else. The trailer was unsurprisingly pretty curt about revealing any major plot details (other than the long-speculated location), but has certainly done a fine job of stoking interest and damn-near breaking the Internet at the same time. Though the trailer might be low on spoilers, it's certainly high on unexpected revelations and tantalising tidbits: there's plenty here to keep fans salivating until the inevitable gameplay reveal at E3 in a few short weeks. So, without any further ado, it's time to dig into the most unexpected and important elements from the first Fallout 4 trailer. What a time to be a gamer...what a time to be alive!
