Fallout 76: 6 Important Trailer Clues You Totally Missed

6. The Significance Of Country Roads

Fallout games are known for their music choices, using swing, rhythm and blues, jazz and other old styles of music to create atmosphere. The song that plays through the trailer, Country Roads, is a completely different genre and several decades later than the majority of songs in the games.

A game that did use country music, as Country Roads is, was Fallout: New Vegas, made by Obsidian. The use of a country song in the trailer has many to speculate that they are the developers of this new game, despite tweeting #ItsNotUs when the trailer was released.

In reality though, Fallout lore has the much talked-about Vault 76 located in Virginia itself - a location mentioned in the song. A set of Vault 76 overalls are seen later in the trailer too, nigh-on confirming the game will finally explore the lives of those confined to this particular chamber.

Lastly, this use of music suggests that even if it wasn't developed by a different studio, 76 will incorporate influences and elements from other games like New Vegas - something fans have been demanding for years.
