Fallout: Ranking Every Add-On From Worst To Best
15. Contraptions Workshop (Fallout 4)
Contraptions Workshop, one of the three add-ons dedicated to giving players new ways to customize their settlements, was a pretty useless addition to Fallout 4.
Sure, some of the new items it provided could be fun to use, but most of them were likely completely ignored by most players. After all, Contraptions Workshop placed a heavy emphasis on manufacturing products through an assembly line-like system, which sounds fine on paper, but doesn't exactly coincide with what most fans want out of a Fallout game.
Some also argued out that many of the features added through the Workshop series of add-ons were completely worthless anyway, given the fact that most could just be added through mods.
While this statement does have merit, it doesn't take into account the console players who couldn't mod the game for the longest time (and the fact that console mods are a double-edged sword, as they disable achievements.)
The dubious mod argument notwithstanding, however, Contraptions Workshop is still easily the most underwhelming Fallout DLC to date.
