28. Vault 8 - Recolonization Vault

Vault 8 is perhaps one of the tamest of the entire list of Vaults that have appeared in the franchise so far.

Appearing only in Fallout 2, Vault 8 is a 'control' Vault, and as such the inhabitants weren't subjected to horrendous experimentation.

Instead, Vault 8 was designed to open after 10 years with the aim of the population recolonising the local area. The facility was equipped with a GECK (Garden of Eden Creation Kit) which the dwellers used when emerging from the Vault to create Vault City.
