You can kill all the non-treating tortoise, chubby pigs or defenseless deer you want, but killing pretty birds is just plain wrong. With their colourful feathers and alluring songs, the birds of paradise like to play around the islands and keep to themselves. When killing most of the rest of the islands population there is a reward-usually a skin to sell or craft into a nice trendy bag. When you kill a bird, you get nothing, just like in real life; you get nothing from killing pretty birds. A valuable lesson.
