Far Cry: New Dawn - 8 Details You Need To Know

8. Big Focus On Vehicles (Races?)

This hasn’t been confirmed yet, but just based on the trailer alone it seems to be a very likely part of the game. There’s a lot of vehicular action in the few minutes of footage we get, but most interesting is towards the end as trailer switches to first person.

As with all Far Crys, that’s the perspective we’ll be playing from, so showing that angle seems to suggest it’s showing us what the gameplay will actually be like. One of the things it shows us is our (as yet unrevealed) protagonist driving around a dirt track.

Despite life threatening danger around every corner, Far Cry has always managed to squeeze in some recreational activities too. The maps are usual populated by locals absolutely off their rockers, and normally they’ll want you to provide them with entertainment before they help you. In some cases, they’ll even kidnap you and force you to beat their Herculean trials.

Racing is a fairly standard mini game, and versions of it have been included in Far Cry before. The trippy drug fuelled hallucinations of Far Cry 4 are still the sidequest to beat, though.
