Spectator mode has been requested for years and it would certainly be a welcome addition. Though it wouldn't improve the game modes dramatically, it would definitely be a brilliant addition. How frustrating is it when you go online and you're waiting to play your friend, yet they're in the middle of a match. You can't start your own game, as then they'll have the same problem, so you find yourself scrolling the menus doing nothing in particular. If you could drop in and watch your friend it would be simply amazing. You'd identify weak spots in their team to try to exploit and work out the best tactics for your forthcoming match. You'd be able to see their line-up and adjust accordingly if necessary. Then, there's the banter that would follow. The added pressure you would have from having your best mate watching your every move would be extraordinary. Miss a sitter, you'll never be allowed to forget it. Your mistakes would be well documented but don't worry, as you could do the same in return. Though this addition could potentially ruin years of friendship if things get too heated, its definitely a must.
