FIFA 15: 10 Changes Career Mode MUST Have

By Josh Challies /

10. Improve Pre-Season

At the start of every season you're required to participate in three pre-season games, where you can rotate your squad and give some young players a chance to prove themselves, which fundamentally sounds like a good idea, but unfortunately FIFA has made this a rather drab affair and most people just sim through these games. There are a few problems with the whole process but one of the most infuriating is that you're still only allowed to make three substitutions, whereas in real life the amount of changes a manager is allowed to make is far higher. Some teams even change their entire line-up at half-time. That concept may be a bit far-fetched but an increase in the substitutions you're allowed to make to seven, or even five, would improve the appeal of pre-season games. Unfortunately, I think a lot of us would rather get into the full swing of the season straight away, which questions the need for pre-season games at all. Another potential improvement would be to be able to choose a destination to take your team on tour. Depending on the appeal of your club would vary the offers you get; for example, if you're playing as Chelsea you could go to America, Japan or Africa whereas Middlesbrough would receive offers from Scotland, Finland and Croatia.
