FIFA 15: 10 Leaked Liverpool Player Ratings

By Sam Heard /

8. Simon Mignolet €“ 82 (FIFA 14 €“ 80)

Brendan Rodgers obviously had a great deal of faith in Simon Mignolet when he signed him from Sunderland. Not only did the Liverpool manager praise the Belgian keeper as €œone of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League€ but he was willing to fork out £9 million for a five-year deal. On the whole the 26-year-old proved himself to be worthy of Rodgers' faith. In his official debut in the victory against Stoke City he saved a penalty from Jonathan Walters in the 89th minute which won Liverpool the three points. Mignolet€™s supreme reactions allowed him to continue pulling off masterful saves all season €“ we predict that the keeper€™s reflex rating (currently 83) will be generously boosted in FIFA 15. Mignolet arguably would have been rated even higher if he wasn€™t guilty of committing several memorable errors in front of Liverpool€™s goal. The 6€™4€ goalie looked particularly indecisive when reacting to corners and set-pieces, lacking the instinctive decision making skills which make a good keeper world class. It is perhaps because of this indecision that Mignolet played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois for Belgium in the World Cup.
