Every time the Uruguayan finds the ball at his feet a tension descends over the stadium as fans quite rightly expect some type of footballing magic to occur. His 31-league-goals were vital in Liverpools convincing run at the league title and won him the highly coveted PFA Player of the Year Award. His scoring frequency also earned him the Premier Leagues scoring title incidentally Daniel Sturridge, who finished as the Premier Leagues second highest goal scorer had many of these goal scoring opportunities created for him by Suárez. In spite of Liverpools last minute stumble in the title race, Suárez has certainly proven that he should be considered among the upper echelons of footballs greats. His excellent form this year has also caught the interest of Spanish giants Real Madrid who are rumoured to be preparing a generous offer for the 27-year-old.
