Similarly to Lewandowski, there was maybe a time when Robin Van Persie deserved such a high rating, but this season looked like the beginning of the end for the Dutch master. The 31-year-old made a brave switch from Arsenal to Manchester United, and it has proved to be a very good deal, but he isn't the same lethal force he once was. His goal haul this season stands at 13 for club and country, with 9 of those goals coming while his team has scored at least 3 in a game. He's a classy footballer, and a solid bit-part player, but he's nowhere near justifying an 88 rating.
