One feature you can utilise from the very first time you put the disc in your console is passing with purpose. You could use it to knock the ball around the defence but that's fairly pointless. It has a greater meaning. If you're a team who likes to probe the ball from side to side, spreading the play from left to right and back again looking for an opening, this is for you. However, its greatest use is for central midfielders and creative lock-pickers higher up the field. It's a great way of linking the midfield to the striker(s) without having to draw them nearer or hope they can sprint beyond with a through ball. It's direct, sharp and could be a massively useful tool.
